BIRDS VISITING ME IN THE WILLAMETTE VALLEY

MALE BLUEBIRD

BLUEBIRDS

Everyone loves bluebirds and I was lucky that a pair nested in my bluebird box during the spring of 2022.

It was delightful to watch them and I was lucky enough to get a few photos of them.

Here is the Male Bluebird feeding one of the fledglings.

Here one of the fledglings sits on the feeder. This feeder lies about 20 feet from their nesting box.

Fledgling is peeping out to view the world. Within the feeder there is screening attached to the birdhouse interior, making it easy for the fledgling to climb up to the box opening.

Older now, a fledgling beginning to molt. This male is displaying the blue feathers now.

A side view of a male fledgling with blue feathers growing in.

Proud fledgling atop his home.
